WCC's Hokulani Planetarium is currently in its construction phase—with an anticipated opening date scheduled for Fall 2000. Due to the high versatility of Hokulani's main projector system (Digistar II by Evans & Sutherland), this facility will be used for a wide variety of multi-media presentations besides normal planetarium shows. The theater's special projectors (designed by SkySkan) include animation frames, dissolving All-Sky, dissolving panorama, various special effects projectors and interactive audience control for all 70 seats under a 40-foot dome.
